Watchout for those people who has screen name similar to "Ross loss, Ross loose, loose Ross, kick Ross, toss ross, butthole, hellhole..." They're obviously coming here to troll, spead rumor and misleading people.

I resent that comment, I have avoided using inflammatory remarks about the school, or individuals. Rather I gave my candid view on the school after two semesters here. My post was against the administration, and the Ross experience as a whole.
It amazes me how people are immediately called trolls for voicing their opinions. Here is a better warning:
Watch out for the zealous Rossites who constantly portray Ross as a picture perfect institution, and put down anyone who dares to say otherwise.
Obviously there is something not right, for as long as current policies remain, there will be people to complain. Going to Med school in the Carib is like buying a product. I am just trying to inform potential customers of the reality of the program. I believe I was misled, and wished someone could have given a more accurate portrait of the school.

As a prospective student, it is good to hear both sides of the story.

I have to agree with toss_ross that there is a lot of misleading information portraying Ross as a lot better than it actually is. Lord knows that hindsight is 20/20, but had I known how it really is, I'd not have come here.

I think that it is better if these trolls would stay away cause it doesn't do any good to just lie and think that people are going to believe you.
Remember: STAY AWAY CAUSE NO ONE WILL LISTEN.

If you dislike Ross so much, why don't you just quit and leave? Let others pursue what you're most likely not able to accomplish. It does take just a bit of intelligence to make it through med school, and just b/c you can't do it doesn't mean you need to show your bitterness by trying to BRING OTHERS DOWN WITH YOU. 4,000+ people in the past have finished Ross and gone onto bigger and better things so that must mean something.
From your other posts you stated that you "barely" passed 1st and 2nd semesters, but let me tell you something. If you barely passed those 2 semesters, it is almost certain that you'll fail 3rd b/c its alot more difficult and a whole lot more material. I'm going to feel sorry for you after you accumulated thousands of dollars in student loans w/o anything to show for it.
Get a life and maybe trying studying instead of whining and maybe you'll more than "barely" pass this semester. If you're lucky.

the 'zealous rossites' on this board are merely people who are able to find ways to deal with an adverse environment. They recognize the problems, and they deal with them.
the 'zealous rossites' don't necessarily like the school, but they do make the most use of it to achieve their goal.
on the other hand, the 'trolls' just complain, and then some. They seem helpless to find solutions to their problems.
that's where the difference lies.
At the end of the day, the trolling doesn't really have any impact, other than being a nuisance.
I doubt it really has any effect on prospective students' decisions to apply or matriculate..... at least for me, it didn't.
All I looked at were the numbers and the accreditation. I didn't know or care about any administration because I knew that it wasn't gonna affect my ability to go to class or learn the material.... and it still hasn't.

Stop making assumptions. I never said that I was barely passing, I was well above the MPS, and am not in danger of going to BMSI (Unless I get straight C's for the next couple of semesters. Finally, I'm still in second semester, too early to say how I am doing.
I am upset with dealing with the administration, especially financial aid. Don't knock me for sharing my experiences with the school, they are equally valid as others. Why is it that when someone complains, everyone immediately jumps to the conclusion that they are not doing well, or failed. I know of others who were screwed over by the administration.
While there is truth in that recently there has been a lot of people making negative remarks about Ross (trolling, as some might call it), there is just some truth to what people are saying. You can not argue with that. I was told that Ross had modern resources, yet when I see the library, restroom facilities, classrooms 1, 3, & 5, it is quite obvious that the statement is half true. Most Universities take pride in their library resources, yet for what Ross has is a shame! Universities are supposed to stimulate learning, especially beyond what is taught in the classroom, not so at Ross in my experience.

I find your post really hypocritical, since you defend the school, yet on your own stats, you list your location as "Prison". That is exactly what many people feel like in the Ross environment! Well put!
How about you guys stop picking on those who share views different than what you hold. This forum will always have people sharing their experiences, negative or positive, troll or not. I am here to stay!

"the rock" is a nickname for dominica.
and The Rock is a former federal prison in the middle of San Francisco Bay.... hence the tagline 'prison'.
I think potential students are interested in opinions. It is important for readers and posters to realize that there are individuals that will have negative attitudes and not be happy no matter where they are attending school or living. In a perfect world everyone would be truthful, shoot from the hip, not only see and tell about the negative stuff, and not candy-coat everything. This is not a perfect world.
Trolls are individuals who only gripe and belly-ache, blame others for their own failures, try to stir up trouble, try to push certain people's buttons, and even go to the extent of having multiple accounts to appear as a group. "I agree with so and so" often means they are agreeing with themselves.
Hopefully potential students and forum members will become adept at detecting the posters who try to be honest and express believable facts. It is great to have opinions, but when one must reach that hard to make others believe them, it becomes pathological.
