Hi,

I came across this website that allows you to make your own forum and I couldn't resist... ha ha. It is small and not very extensive, but since most older st chris students won't come to this site any more (backlash from the old network54 era) maybe I can get some clinical students and graduates to post some info there. Check it out when you have time and maybe post a hello.

isn't this a bit duplicative?

Perhaps you can make that the FAQ site or something to declutter ValueMD, but really, going to one forum is quite enough and one will suffer but for the other.

Just a thought.

Actually, it is repetitive, but neccesary because most old st chris students will not come to valuemd or any other forums like it due to the old network54 days. They hated the bickering and mud slinging and constant attcking of st chris by caribb schools so they just refuse to come back. I have emailed around 30 grads and clnical students and tried to coerce them to come back by creating my own forum dedicated to st chris. I can't promise anyone will come back, but I am hopeful.

I can certainly sympathize with their viewpoint. I see that happening amongst the Carib crowd a lot. Some toward English institutes like SC, but also amongst themselves.

Its really entertaining.

You can sift through the old network 54 archives to see it if you want. The info provided on that forum is very outdated though, so its use is purely historical.

It is a shame what happened on the old Network54 forum. There are always a few bad apples that ruin it for the whole bunch. The reason a lot of carib studs attack st. Chris is becasue of what a few St. Chris students and/or admin (I don't know which and am not here to speculate) did on that forum. There were a bunch of negative posts regarding the more established carib schools, but in particular AUC and Ross were targets. They included stories about people being raped on the islands, scandals involving professors from those schools, very low USMLE pass rates etc. Not much of it was true. Just a smear campaign. The problem is that the IP addresses were traced to Luton. So people fired back. As so often happens, they just shot at everyone from St. Chris. Old grudges die hard, i guess. It is too bad that people like "Duncan McCloed" don't post here, on a forum where that kind of mudsliniging isn't tolerated. That is the history of the problem in a nutshell. Hopefully you will convince the old studs to come back. As for the infighting in the carib schools...I just can't explain it. If you think this forum is entertaining, then check out the Network54 archive. G

Those archives are completely outdated. I am not sure where you can get them, but I am sure they won't have any useful info about any school. I think most of those archives/forums may have been shut down since they are pretty old.

He's studying really hard. He's in my class.

I always found Duncan to be impartial. I'm sure he'll do well, he has a great attitude. G
