if im not mistaken.... the polish medical schools are on the list of medical schools recognized by the medical board of california...
http://www.medbd.ca.gov/Approved_Schools.htm#P
or are the polish schools a recent addition to the list? or am l looking at the wrong list
edit: After reading several other posts... It mentions that only the polish program has a license in the state of california. Why is that? and how did one come across this information?

We asked the Foreign Schools Liaison at Medical Board of California, Pat Park. All foreign programs that do not teach to their own students, like the Polish (or Czech, Hungarian, etc..) English language ones must apply to the medical board for approval.
This is why if you look closely at the Czech and Hungarian list, you'll find (including English language program) behind Charles, Semmelweis and Szeged.
If you want more information on this, contact the medical board and ask them. The best source of information is Pat Park, as this is part of her job.

the list of approved schools is an old one I think......at least 10 years old!
under the names of schools of Russian Federation I find schools located in Ukraine, Belarus Armenia etc .
Moreover the old names(more than 10 years old) have been preserved :
for example the "Leningrad Sanitary Hygine Institute" as enlisted there under Russian Federation has been named St petersburg State Medical Academy named after II Mechnikov in 1982 (and its enlisted in the WHO directory of medical schools with the new name).....but in the California website most of the shools have been enlisted with their old names .....I think there are such mistakes in case of other countries too....

You are right regarding those schools. However, it is current when it comes to off-shore programs catering to U.S. citizens.
