Just found out that since the dorm is full, they found me off campus living. Is anyone else in the same position?

...interestng ... I have yet to hear where I will be put up ... on campus or off campus or what room I am going to be in on campus. However, I am assuming, because I have heard nothing ... that I will be on campus ... I guess I will find out in a couple of days ...

Yup, me too I am told that I will be living in a 2 bed room apartment off campus... which kinda sux... in a sense... less interactions with the others... but then again which is kinda good also... have your own room to study. So much mixed feelings about this... ah well ... that is nothing compared to that feeling of leaving your friends and family.

Hey!

Who do you call to find out if you are staying in the dorm or off campus?
Plus does anyone know if the loan covers room and board or does that money come from your pocket?

So I'm confirmed for of campus and I will only have 1 house mate. Pretty good. If you have not heard anything I suggest you call Laura at 011-599-416-3456 ext 216. Or you can e-mail her at housing@saba.edu. She may not contacted you because your e-mail probably kicked her message into bulk mail. That is what happened to me.

I have four more hours before I start plane hopping from Colorado. Have a great flight.

Eh, I'm going into my fifth semester now. When I arrived on Saba they told me I wasn't in the dorm and took me to a place off campus, where I stayed for my first semester. It wasn't bad, and I was actually glad I wasn't in the dorm. Sure, I missed out on some of the interaction, but in the end talking to my classmates I learned I didn't miss much. :D Don't worry - you'll get plenty of interaction in the lab, at parties, between classes, breaks, etc etc.

hey guys, about the dorms and apartments, no worries. I am starting my 2nd semester and I know many people that did not live in the dorm, both due to class size, and preference. Its not a big deal, personally i would have rather stayed in an apartment 1st semester just because of the kitchen! The dorms allow you to meet a lot of great people, congrats on being accepted, hope to meet you all next semester...well not all of you...but most of you...
