Back in the summer I wrote a post about my intent of going straight to AUC instead of first trying the app process here in the states. Many of you told me to try the US schools first if I had the stats. I really didn't want to put up with the headache of the app process here, but I did. I found out that it is a very emotionally and physically draining process to go through as well as an expensive one.
We were ready to go to AUC, but after the past hurricane season my wife had true reservations about going over to the carrib. Especially, after what she saw happening to the SGU students and their campus. Another thing, I had to experience MEIO for myself after hearing of the many horror stories, and you all will be happy to know that they lived up to their reputation, they screwed up my file with missing transcripts, and I paid them $75.00 to do that. Maybe than can use it to hire someone for a better wage who won't screw up all the time.
Anyway, I just wanted to say to those who are going through AUC currently, or are in residency now, but still advised me to try the US first, THANKS!! I got in to VCOM, a semi-private DO college at Virginia Tech ( It's not DUKE or NC State, but at least it is still ACC). I also want to say I am glad that I was a small part of this message board because they opened up my eyes that there are some good people coming out of the carrib if you work hard enough for it. Ya'll take care.
