university of debrecen, rotations in US??

hi there,

I was wonderign if there are any grads from University of Debrecen on here who decided to do their rotations in the US...I was curious as to what the procedure was and were you still enrolled at the university while doing the rotations or did u transfer to a carribean skool for the rotations??

could you please tell me what the best path is to return to the States..Thank u

As of now, University of Debrecen permitts students to do their core rotations in the USA, by means of setting up your own rotations (from either personal connections or an agency), or by means of the 5th pathway offered through NYMC.

BUT A few weeks ago, I attended a meeting in which the CEO of Wyckoff Medical Center and a few of his colleagues visited the University. As of now, we are waiting for approval from CA and NY, but they are very anxious to set up core rotations through their hospital and affiliate hospitals......(Hopefully everything will be in place for next year !)

In the near future, US-Students will have numerous options from the University of Debrecen....!!! :D

what bout canadian students??
what is their best route to canada if any?? or just get used to a US life??

Yes you can do rotations in the US. As of now, you can visit program web sites to find which programs offer IMG visiting medical student clerkships (there are lots of them) You are still enrolled, but do not pay tuition while rotating outside university. Yes, there may be a core rotation program for DOTE students in New York starting next year. this should be finalized by August. Good luck! PS as for canadian IMG's, you are IMG's too, so the above applies. szia
