Ok, Big Daddy is coming down.... but I have a question to those well traveled.

What is the best way to bring me stuff. Should I buy a couple of large suitcases, or would American Airlines allow me to bring a Trunk?

Or could I bring both a large suitcase, trunk, and my golf clubs....

Looking for some Travel Advice.

Regards,

Best way would be to bring down a couple of large suitcases. I know AA has a weight limit of 80lb per suitcase or total per person, I'm not sure about that but call American and find out for sure. A trunk is probably too heavy and if you can bring one you'll have to pay extra if it goes over the weight limit.

That's all I know, someone else can probably give you more info on this.

international flights on all cain carriers are 70 lbs per suitcase and you are allowed 2 of them. if you have a leg on the small planes (carib sub, liat) they allow the same allotment for no change BUT you must show proof of a full leg such as coming off a major airline and continuing onto you final destination. plus, the dont guarantee you getting both bags on the small plane if the flight is full. they would then put the bags on "standby" or get it out to you on another flight.

so keynote....... big airlines.............2 bags @70 lbs each.
small planes....................... watch out and keep your fingers crossed.

Ok, so I'll shoot for 2 suitcases, not more than 70lbs (to be safe), golf clubs, and 2 carryons and a laptop.

thank you for the advice

Large duffle bags (sans wheels) get you the most packing content - don't forget the weight of the suitcase is part of what you get to carry.
