Ok...here's the deal...i know that no one can tell you for certain if you can or cannot get in. But i also do know this....that individuals that are attending the school now have a pretty good idea of what is or is not accpetable to be able to apply and have a shot. I won't post my stats, as i know it will annoy a lot of people, but i would like to know...in all seriousness...wut do you think the minimum...and by that i mean absoulte minimum you can have in order to be considered for this school. I know its only 75 dollars to apply...but for someone like me persuing a DREAM...its hard to sit there and say...you know what...what have i to lose. AUC is currently my number one choice and i would love to settle some of my anxiety while i apply this month. I am going to be applying for Jan 2006...stats are low due to various reasons...one mainly a sick family member...so im asking for help...please reply with your honest answers.....and in advance...i aplogize for anyone getting annoyed with this post.

i believe, though i could be a little off but not by much, that the official cutoff is 2.6 for gpa and 20 for mcat.
All of here who have been accepted and waiting to attend AUC or those who are attending can suggest that you may have a chance or not. But quite honestly we don't really know what the adcom thinks when they look at the apps, if its the stats that get you in, LOR's, EC, etc. We just don't know you could always check out the student profile on their web site but this is what they have said is the average student getting in.
So its hard to determine who will get in just based upon their GPA and MCAT. I say if it is something that you want to do then go ahead and apply, because if you don't twenty years from now you'll be wondering what if, and wondering what if just plain sucks major a$$. Yeah if you don't get in its 75$ down the tubes which for me equates to like 8 hours worth of work but hey 8 hours now or never even trying for your dreams and wondering years from now.

It probably will but why not just take the MCAT again and up your score?

the secret to getting in to one of the caribbean schools with a long track record is to play odds. these are all money cows and a butt in a seat is what they want. if you have below a 3.0 and a 20 on your mcat beef it up with volunteer work and medical exposure then apply to one of the semesters when they have a lower applicatnt pool....
