Financial Aid Problems

I am just curious to see how many people have problems with the financial aid office. I have never received my financial aid in time and every semester, the FA office says that the mistakes are rare. I suspect that they are lying.

1st sem: financial aid check 3 months late
2nd sem: 1 month late
3rd sem: 10 weeks late
4th sem: 2 months late
5th sem: never got
6th sem: just got my 5th sem check

Is everyone else routinely getting their checks several months late?

i received my first of two checks last week. according to the FA in jersey, someone miscalculated and tried to approve me for 3 semesters of FA instead of 2. what does that mean for me, a big ole delay. none of my friends received their FA until the end of october.

now that i say this it will happen, but i have never received my check late and i am a fourth semester

im in 2nd now and it went off without any problems. First semester was horrible. I filed for the rest of the time im here so hopefully I wont have anymore issues but we'll see.

My 1st semester check was slow, everyone of them on teh rock afterwarsd was waiting when I arrived for day 1 of the semester. the only other problem I had was that my last aid check was cut on dec 29th, and when it came time to graduate, I had a hold due to non-payment fo my insurnace. seems its against the law to take that money out prior to the start of the official semester,and my check was cut about 3 days too early. fortunately I found out about this early enough to come up with the cash, or they would have held up my graduation. when you are approaching graduation, check with the bursars office about 2 months prior(at least) to check for such problems.

I got half my check one semester late.

2nd semester= day of registration (I made sure I was on top of things, especially with the people in the FA office).
