Anyone know what kind of GPA and step 1 score is needed for a Ross student to get into anesthesiology? Any other info or advice would be appreciated....
i think half my class went into anesthesia. the lowest scores I know of were about 185 with a 3.1 to 3.2. and they got a university spot i believe.

it is a high paying field however, many people aren't attracted to it like people aren't attracted to pathology or radiology(but the money is so good in radiology you can overlook anything). i got a mini soon so i can't go into the details about the job description. at www.scutwork.com on their anesthesiology forum, they go into great detail about the ups and downs of the profession.

shoot for above 210 and you should get some mid to lower tier programs.
I have a 230 and 229 and received 20 interviews so far. Only 3 are near top tier. rejectes so far by 3 out of the top ten at this point.
Search my posts to find out where I received them

here is the list so you dont need to search. I will probably get a few more in the next few weeks. You could probably cut this list in half if your sitting at the 200 range.
to answer questions about pay....During interviews residents during 2nd year are already being offered salaries in the 300k range.

Swaydaa, since you did very well with your USMLE's, how was your gpa at ross?

Swaydaa:
Congratulations on so many interviews, have you heard from UNC or Duke in the negative, I hope not, but WFU kind of makes up for it.
