Hey All!
I've decided that I have no intention of practicing Medicine in Canada (I would like to do Primary Care abroad). I have Nationality Rights in the UK, but the UK is a little steep at $50, 000/year.
I was looking at some of the 6 year programs in Poland, and just have some quick questions (I'll be contacting the school, but I always like to get some other perspectives).
--> Is there a better school in Poland for Primary Care?
--> Would I be able to enter into the second year of a 6 year program, or become exempt from some courses? (I'm in first year doing a BSc in Biology)
--> What marks would be taken into account more heavily, High School or University (Avg. in HS was about 81%, I KNOW I shouldn't ask this, but would it be high enough?)
--> I saw that some do 'rolling admissions', when then, is the best time to apply (I'm assuming it's a little late for Sept '05)
--> Are there other schools/avenues I should consider?
I was thinking poland because I read that if I do 6 years of my education there, I can practice in the UK without having to write the PLABs(?), as well I have my nationality rights and a lot of family there....so should I decide against Primary Care, there is a back-up.
Any help/insight you could provide would be great. Thanks in advance!
