Hi everyone!
I'm currently studynig at DOTE.
As you know almost 70%-75% (not exactly) of the students are from Norway and Israel and feels like that they control almost all of the activities here in the university for example FMSA (Foreign Medical Student Association) is in their hands and instead of treating with students problems their major activity is to set up PARTIES for several occasions.
The other issue that i would like to mention is that here is a pass-paper based system.They may say that if you study hard you will succeed i personally am ok with this but when you see a person without even minimum knowledge taking the exam and passing it,you know you feel sad.why? because he had some sources and he just got it from someone and studied some papers and paased.but you studied the reference book(which i don't believe it could help) and couldn't finish it at the time and just because of 2-3 points you failed and teachers don't pay attention to this issue.
And also about the researches at the university i can not see any motvations from the teachers but if you say there is i will be the first one who wants to work with departments specially BIOPHYSICS AND CELL BIOLOGY Dept. because i love both fields but now i have only 1 chance in cell bio and 2 chances in biophys and still not sure about exams that what's gonna happen?
I personally don't recommand to go for Dentistry in DOTE because of lack of experience and also we do not have any grads from faculty of dentistry because those who reached the 4th. year transferred to other univrsities (Again I don't know why?) need to ask them if there was a well-organized program for dentistry why should someone break it up by 4th. year.
