Transcript....Ws and Fs

i was just wondering about a few things...

if you have an F on your transcript, how bad is it? how will it affect one's chance of getting a residency or clinicals? will the step 1 score overshadow the transcript or will both be looked at with equal weight?

on another note, how is a withdraw failing looked upon? is it frowned upon or accepted by the evalutaing committe?

just some thoughts that i had laying around...will appreciate some input...thanks

you have to retake the class/semester right?

and you got just one F? or multiple F's? just curious....

i did not get any Fs...i was just wondering about these situations...however i may have to go home this semester and was wondering how a W would look on my transcript....

in residency, it seems that board scores carry much greater weght then a single semester.
