Better to call it Mercy

Just like Ross, most people call Ross instead of RMU, right? Or St. Christ, people call it SC.

In the past, it was know as MUA Belize, because it was MUA Nevis's affiliated school, and its name was Medical University of Americas (Belize Campus). But now it is completely a different school, I think it should not be called MUA Belize to confuse students and avoid possible misconception. It's just like St. Martinus, they don't call themselves SMU after one poster pointed out that it would be confused with St. Matthew.

The name of our school for the past three years has been and will remain Medical University of the Americas. It is the same school but now with our own separate charter. MUA is the name on our charter and all of our corporate documents. Both the Belize campus and the Nevis campus are and will remain on very friendly terms. We have and will continue to differentiate ourselves from one another by stating which campus the student has contacted. Our US offices are in separate states, separate websites, separate forum sign-on locations and the contact people are different – I think the students and potential students are intelligent enough to know there is a difference. I appreciate the fact that some people may be confused and we will make ever effort to alleviate any confuse for the students. Thus the reason you see Belize in our sign-on title.
