Today October10,2004 in the travel section of the Sun-sentinel in Florida. This article was in regards to tourism and island damage from hurricane ivan.
It states that more than half of the islands homes are uninhabitable and most buildings in Georgetown sustained damage.
On Sept 27th, McKeeva Bush, Leader of the Government Business, lifted the islands state of emergency and set a goal of Nov. 15 to have the tourism industry up and running again. But at press time no hotels were providing opening dates.
