in case anyone didnt catch JP's post, California is going to come back to Cayman to do another visit sometime early in 2005. This has nothing to do with whether they think SMU is good or bad, but rather because they want to make sure that the school is in order following Hurrican Ivan. because they are coming in March 2005, i am guessing that we are a LOCK to return to Cayman in January. I cant see California coming to visit if the students arent present and the school isnt completely ready to be functional. Also, the final decision should be made by August 2005 at the latest.

wish us luck that we will get Cali everyone...at this point i wouldn't even mind doing rotations in Bakersfield (to anyone who is from California or is familiar with the area you know what i mean)!!!

I don't think that SMU will force everyone back to the Caymans if still not habitable, because of California.

California is coming back for a structural inspection right? Do they need to see the students?

I would guess that Cali wants to see more than the physical structure on the school. They most likely want to see if classes are functioning, on Grand Cayman, as before. The school and the res hall look like they will be ready for students come January. I think SMU’s main concern is if the housing available will be adequate.

Peace,
