Hi,
I had the interview last thursday, I wonder how long it takes to get the acceptance letter( they said 10 buss days). Is it by phone or by mail ?. Do you think I should call the office. Man, every day now to end of next week is longest days of my life.

Lol, I was interviewed last Thursday too. I think mine was the last at 3:00PM. Race you to see who gets acknowledged of their decision first... :D

My is 12:30 PST time, which is 3:30 EST time. The interview went well except few things I want to have it back. Anyway, I am nervous b/c Saba is my first choice.

In which case you beat me. I interviewed at 3PM EST. Likewise, I felt that I screwed up in one major area: I did not mention that Saba was amongst the top five. That was so deeply engrained in me that I felt that it was trivial at that time. However, I tackled that other interviewer's technical questions like what is the USMLE, what is the ECFMG, do you need to pass Step 1 and 2 to be certified by ECFMG.
They said that Saba will be CA decided in November, and that Saba was a first world island. Really :?:

LOA's are sent via postal service. Less than two weeks is the rule.
Hope to see you on 'the rock' :D

I don't know why you felt you screwed up by not saying Saba is in the top 5......really, if you wanted to impress them you should've said that Saba is your number one choice and you didn't apply anywhere else. That's what I did. :P
They never asked me that other stuff, they just asked me if I was familiar with the process. I said "yes".

I just got my acceptance from Saba today too. Man, that package is bulky, compared to the resume-thick AUC acceptance package. And what's this, a CD-Rom.

Congrats to you too dolphin 8)
Be sure to turn the speakers "on" when you play the CD-ROM
You may hear some lovely tunes. I think I remember that from the CD somewhere. Yeah dolphin

I still have my CD from like 2-3 years ago.... although I just asked for an application and they sent me all the info. Never did get around to applying though. AUC did give me a CD as well but it wasn't as good as Saba's.
Congrats all! Welcome to the Netherland Antilles! (or Neverland Antilles as I call it)

Thanks Classic, Micro, and Howard. I am flabbergasted. Never before have I received an official acceptance certificate bearing the school's seal. Also, I've found some applications for Canadian loans in the package. Wow, the Saba admin is really thorough.
Yes, I am accepted for May 2005. Hopefully Saba will get CA approved in November. I'm sending off my deposit regardless and crossing my fingers. I hope to see you there on the rock.

I sent my today. I think I just have enough research. SABA is finally my choice. I can't wait for AUC. I though I might give it a shot but man I don't think it takes them so long to get my files processes. Anyhow, I will take my wife and kids back to Toronto for a family visit this christmas. Let me know where are you in Canada, may be we can see each other and have a coffee or something. I am now in Cali. Thanks

Howard, I'm probably in the same situation as you a few days ago. I'm in a dilemma between deciding for AUC and Saba. I applied for Ross and SGU as well, interview pending. I don't think I can make it to their interviews as no one will drive me across the border. Here's where my real research will begin as I dig for information on which school is best for me. Before, it was which school I can get admitted into. Now, it is which school I want to attend... Though, I probably won't come to a decision until January. Anyways, I'll keep you posted of my decision come time...

I think the CANHELP rate is a bit high. please look into CIBC credit line for the loan. I have not look into details but my brother told me that he got 4.0 for his dentistry school.

Much thanks Wolfvgang.
Howard, I live in Toronto too. Pardon me, but I'll pass for the coffee as I don't drink coffee. I did have a coffee drinking episode with my uncle in Calif. for every morning for a whole week. Strong stuff. Somehow, the coffee just fails to hook me. Anyways, I hope you have a good time at Christmas here in Toronto. What are you doing all the way in Calif.? I love Calif. as I have been there twice. In fact, I love anywhere where there is no snow. Don't get me wrong. I am an avid frost enthusiast, not so every year tho.
As for the loans, I am always thinking of the one which would have the lowest interest. Would you know of any loan which does not charge interest while in school? As for 4.0 that is a really good rate. Do you know if CIBC and Royal Bank are comparable?

I earned my living as an engineer here in the southland for 5 years. Anyhow, I rooted in Toronto. My younger brother is in western ontario dentistry. He told me that you can shop around in either royal bank or CIBC. He went with CIBC. You need to pay for interest while you are in school since this is private loan not government subsidy. Also, you can using the OSAP too if you want to save a bit on the interest rate ( I believe you can get max of 9000 CAN in one calendar year. ). I will ask my brother in details how he did it. I will post it here. Thanks
/Howard
I think CIBC has a maximum something like 15K...

Congratulations to you Dolphin and howardhoavan for being accepted
I have also been accepted to SABA, but am in the same situation as dolphin and that is deciding between SABA and AUC. My deposit is due within the next 3 weeks for both schools and I am still unsure. I am leaning a little towrds SABA. I live in California so that is a concern, but talking to people it seems like SABA will get Cali approval but AUC seems good 2.
I hate making this type of decision. :? :?
