Why don't we just permanently relocate St. Matthew's to Maine and make it a U.S. Medical School???
Chances are, we'll all be back on the rock come Jan, 2005.
So, enjoy Maine while you're there!!

Not to be too harsh, but it would not matter if all 350+ Basic Science students agreed with you. We are not a US medical school, nor will we ever be.
The state of Maine as been kind enough to host us until we can return to Cayman. When we can, we will. It is looking more and more definite for January with every report we receive from the island.
We will not stay in the States longer than necessary.

JP,
I am pleased to hear that Grand Cayman is recovering rapidly and that the RH and Campus may be ready for Jan05...I will not be staying in the RH (I have a wife and child) My concern is that suitable accomadations may not be avialable for my family. Any thoughts with reference to this matter would be most appreciated thank you.

From what I understand, the west end of the island will be ready for the tourism industry to resume by early November. This is where the majority of students stayed, although I have no official word abouyt progress on for-lease properties.

JP,
Thanks for your reply, Is there an anticipated dated of notification for incoming students as to where classes will be held? Do you know if non-Caymanian passport holders are able to fly into the island yet?
Thanks

We will probably be announcing the class location in November. As of today, it is still Cayman status holders only that are allowed to fly in, but with the lifting of the State of Emergency today, I expect that will change soon.
