JUST HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO FIGURE OUT THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A RESIDENCE AND AN INTERN.

The first year of training had traditionally been called an "intern" year. That terminology is not used officially now. Now the "intern" is a PGY-1 (post graduate year one) An intern is somone in their first year of residency. G
