Pros:
1.Cheap tuition.
2.Many graduates practicing in all states (except Cali)
3. Three semesters/year
4.Good exposure to clinicals at Dominican hospitals (infectious disease/tropical medicine)
5.Learn to speak Spanish (see below)
Cons:
1.All clinicals in DR (except one elective), and thus the burden of having to learn Spanish (see above)----> this is a major disatvantage, in my opinion!--can also be good(see #4 above), but may would like to get back home after 1.5 years like in other schools.
2.Not Cali approved
3.Having to take more GE crab again (i.e. Dominican History, Orientation, ..)
4.No school-owned residence facilities, so new students are left to fight for their life against local landlords, unless you go for the school expensive recommendation.
