Darling disease is another name of "histoplasmosis". It is not a sexual disease. It is a infectious disease by Histoplasma capsulatum. It usually acquired by inhalation of spores of the fungus in soil dust and mostly manifested by a self-limited Pneumonia. In immunosuppressed paitents it may cause disseminated disease of the reticuloendothelial system, which is manifested by fever, emaciation, splenomegaly, and leukopenia.
