St. Andrews Academy offers B.S. Health Studies. After this, students can complete their M.D. in South Seas University, Cook Islands / St. Lukes School of Medicine, Ghana. What are your opinions about this?

Good point, but this school isn't very famous yet. Also, I am in south India, and not many people in south India go to the north for studies. There are probably many graduates practicing in north India.

if they are a Cook Island graduate they would be equally rare....see if you can find the campus on the island who's president is a naturopath.

By the way, is it legal to have a foreign medical school in India not attached to a hospital? Check with the GMC in India

You can check St. Andrew's website, it's www.standrewsacademy.com (http://www.standrewsacademy.com)
They are affiliated with Angeles University Foundation, Philippines. www.auf.edu.ph (http://www.auf.edu.ph)
Check this link, http://www.auf.edu.ph/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=80
It's legitimate to have a extension campus in India. There are 4-5 foreign offshore medical school campuses in India.

It would appear that St. Andrews is having a bit of a rocky time having been tied up with St. Luke previously.

Yes the degree is legal to be offshore. Around 35 students are rotating at AUF, they all are on a student visa. As per my information it's legal and they took permission from govt. and medical board. You can check for your information. There are around 200 students at St. Andrews. Facilities are one of the best. It is the first and best offshore campus in terms of academics and facilities.

Whoaa..... I'm bringing one of my own posts from four years ago back to life......

Does this place exist anymore? The reason I ask is coz their website says that admissions for 2007-2008 are now open. It's Welcome index..... (http://www.standrews.in) isn't it?

Did this place produce any graduates?

If so, what are they doing now? Can they practice medicine anywhere?

If you can't find it listed on IMED it doesn't exist.

This is an offshore campus. The course is not entirely completed in India. It has partnership with Angeles Unviersity where students transfer after around 2years. They may continue in Angeles or any other 4 partner university. Mr. David the CEO is still active. They have batches going to Manila. 1 recent batch is in Davao Medical School Foundation. St Andrews is a good place overall. The also have consultancy firm. transworldindia.org

If they are graduating students it would be into the Phillipines. Angeles University Foundation is IMED listed there. So if you want to practice medicine in the Phillipines...?

No, it's just that I was looking thru their website and it didn't look like the place existed anymore. Wonder if graduates can practice in the US.
