i dont know where everyone else is; whether its back in the states or just plain old relaxing on the island, its just nice to be able to relax. i hope everyone is having a good time whatever they are doing. besides the heat, its nice to be home. its hotter in georgia than on st. maarten but at lease i can sleep without worrying or stressing.

see you all in a few day.

to stay on the island over break but my wife (Jen) went back to the states (Ocean City, Maryland). Everyday I have to hear her gloat about eating breakfast at Krispy Kremes or Donut Donuts. She promised to bring me back a dozen. Yeah right!

Even with nothing to do I find myself still waking around 7-7:30 am. The hardest decision of my day is what beach to go to. heeheee!

I started studying for Pharm! :roll: You know it's going to be a great class when you open up the textbook and it begins with ED50s & pharmacokinetics and also dredges up the old Henderson-Hasselbach equation...good times!

Take it easy over break. Just study the powerpoints to pass and dont read Choe's book for the boards.

the ED50 is a unit used by interns:

ED= "estimated dose"

It is the dose of a medication that 50% of interns will believe is the proper dose. Interestingly, studies show that the ED50 is often well in excess of the LD50. G

So...would it be safe to say that the ED 50 is very similar to the "Nurse's Dose", especially if it has to do with anti-anxiety/sleep medication.....
