Did anyone have/a similar situation?

As far as the year requirement (i.e. Physics, OChem, etc...) goes, do both courses have to have labs? For instance, can one take an Ochem I with no lab for 3 units, and then take Ochem II wig lab for 5 units?

Also, as far as physics, can a coursessuch as Engineering Mechanics substitute for the first physics course?

So long as you're school doesn't offer two separate labs, one for orgo 1 and another for orgo 2 but instead offers one lab to cover both, they should accept it. If your school offers two labs, one for each half of orgo, and you only took one then you're short an orgo lab and therefore haven't completed the requirements. Here in the DR they don't separate the labs like we do so it's not really poccible, at least at UTESA or INTEC, not sure about UNIBE, to take the lab by itself if it's all you're missing, they're likely to make you repeat the entire section of orgo for which you're missing a lab if they aren't willing to overlook that missing course. As for physics, I'd be someone elses right arm that they won't take an engineering class in liue of physics. Even though you and I both know for most engineering courses you have to know calc physics down0pat, they don't care about that down here. All they wanna see if Physics 1 and 2 with labs on your transcript. If you want to ttry to get them to take the engineering class as credit for physics then it's likely they'll check the course bulletin of your university to see if the course material for taht course matches their's for physics. If they don't, then they're not likely to give you credit for it. Again, I'm not a student at UNIBE so I haven't gone through that process, but I have done it at two other DR schools and based on those experiences, that's my advice. Simplify your life, take physics and the other orgo lab, leave no room for doubt so as soon as you're down here you can start cutting into cadavers and not be told that you have 8 months of premed to finish. Take care and God Bless.
