Hi,
I want to purchase 3 months of qbank but don't know which one to buy. Should I buy the clinical vignette qbank or the regular q bank? so many choices!!!! Also, has anyone ever bought the physiology qbank on the kaplan test? How was it?
Thanks

the regular qbank is the best one (not the IV) and the one that most people talk about. i havent tried the physiology one, so i'm not sure about that. good luck.

i took ivQbank along with regular qbank. it's really not worth it. many of the questions (i mean many, at least 30%) are way too simple. there's about 1200 questions, and it's grouped into sets of 5-7 questions with one clinical vignette. basically they first ask you what disease it is, then they proceed to ask you different aspects of the disease (pathophys, pharm, biochem, etc). but it's kinda silly. because once you figure out what disease it is (and it gets easy because you have it narrowed down to 5 choices alreadt) then you can easily answer all the other topics. i was sold on ivQbank just because of the way the kaplan guy told me about it. he hyped it up and made it seem more than it was.
instead of doing ivQbank, why don't you do the questions in the back of lange physiology, microbiology and pharm? robbins also has a really good question book supplement for path. webpath has some really good questions too. rapid review for step 1 is by goljan, and we all know how good he is. there's a lot of questions out there. you jus gotta know which ones are worth it.
it's up to you. i would definitely get regular qbank, i truly think no one should try to take step1 without it.
