View Full Version : Took my test today

The questions were pretty much the same as QBank concerning level of difficulty. They took a little more time to complete, but I think this is more because of the stress which forced me to re-read many question stems before answering. I don't think the questions are longer than in QBank and I had at least ten minutes to review my marked questions at the end of each block.

Reading First Aid in the last week was definitely a big help. It was very good to have many of these high yield facts in the short term memory. If you know your First Aid and have done QBank you will feel confident when doing the test. Of course this might not be enough to ace the exam and I would say you need to read the BRS Pathology also since pathology seems to be the most important subject. Maybe there are better pathology books but this was the one that I read.

Feel free to ask questions, I'm not sure about how explicit I'm allowed to be in my answers though. I mean, is it okay to say what subjects are the most important and estimate the percentage of questions from different subjects, or is that irregular behavior?

I hope I passed the exam and that I don't have to stay in the Step 1 forum much longer :)

Good luck with your studies, and remember - a solid knowledge base is your best pillow the night before the exam!
