i am just curious, i am not remotely interested in gambling there at all, it's just been my experience that casinos drastically decrease the quality of life for a city's residents in terms of safety, crime, and cleanliness, and also i once had a little blackjack problem i don't want to awaken from its slumber

I am so glad to hear about Cayman not having any casinos. Casinos ruin lives. They break up marriages and families. They make husbands neglect their wives and children. Casinos are very, very bad! Local governments should heavily tax them. Anyone who really enjoys throwing their money away when they have other financial responsibilities, should get his or her head examined. I know from experience. Stay away from casinos. A fool and his money are soon parted!

I won $800 last year at Harrah's when I was visiting New Orleans.... I walked in with $100 and got lucky on blackjack.... But I knew that my limit was $100 and that if I lost it that would be it.... Everything is fine when in moderation

I think its everyone's business whether they want to gamble or not, and those who are getting divorced and losing fortunes on gambling are just WEAK.
so I could care less if there is a casino or not, I wouldn't be gambling anyway, but even if there was a casino on the island, it would be a great way for Caymanian government to bring extra money for its economy from taxation of these businesses.
Just look at Vegas, people dont pay taxes, its all thanks to casinos.

We have that same issue here in Washington DC right now...
Proponents say it will bring much needed revenues, whereas the opponents say it will gradually decrease the quality of many people's lives. Because in the long run, since casino brings the crime, poverty, etc into the place, the state or the city will have to spend MORE money to prevent and fight off that crime and poverty, etc to protect its citizens...

gebbils, ouch, you are so extremely opinionated. Try lightening up a little, your patients and children will relate to you better.

I thought it was funny this year when ***** said "i don't need to look at my cards" and played when the other guys didnt see him look.

I also kind of like Phil Hellmuth, b/c of his "bad boy, poker brat" mentality, and you cant argue with his 9 WSOP bracelets.

Phil Hellmuth-"If it weren't for luck, I'd win every hand."
