What kind of things do we need to bring with us for college itself....
I just went out and bought one of those huge binders with dividers for my courses.... Along with that just your regular pens pencils and highlighters... Do you guys think we need to bring a scientific calc (I have a TI-83 that I used in college).... any other supplies needed for college you think?

why do you want to bring supplies with you?
I am sure we can buy a pen or a binder in grand cayman. Why would you want to take all this with you just to save a nickel or two.
Save yourself the hassle and just buy the school supplies over there.

-what size bed sheets do we need?
We do not need one. They are provided as well as the pillows.
-do we need any formal clothes?
MDTOB and AmericanIMG said no, but it wouldn't hurt bringing one.
-is there a place to store stuff we bring in between 1st and 2nd semester?
I do not know. Try http://www.ecayman.com/local/storage.html
-how much money do you recommend we bring to last till financial aid is recieved?
Depends... Im bringing $4000.

ranjit brings up a good point... i'm a neat freak as well.. i'd bring my own.. as for the size.. i heard but don't quote me on this, but i heard that the single rooms have a full and the doubles have a twin.. so i guess whichever is ur preference of room assignments...

Yes you can purchase binders and stuff here. If you like to use the hard sided binders I would suggest you bring them with you. For a 3in binber you will pay around CI$16 and about CI$7 for a 1in. Folders, pins, notebook paper are fairly cheap but most of the time it is hard to find anything but wide ruled paper.
Bed sizes - The single rooms have double beds, the double rooms have single beds and both size suites have double beds.
Formal Cloths - There is nothing formal on the island except for a few holiday galas that are thrown every year. Men should bring a shirt and tie and ladies should have at least one nice business type outfit for presentations and shadowing. Don't forget to bring your pirate wear because Pirate's Week the last week of October.
The scientific calculator is ok but most professors won't allow them in the room during exams because of the memeory capability. If you feel you need a calc stick with one of the general scientific ones.
More than likely you will not be able to stay in the dorms more than one semester but I beleive there is a place there for students to store their stuff during the break at the RH. I know several people who did so last May
