Ok.. so here some more random, out there, questions...

1) How are St. Maartin grocery stores for low carb food options? I know this is weird question, but hey - I want my low carb peanut butter! I can get it in Loblaws here!!

2) Are there any generally large paved areas for recreational activities such as rollerblading?

3) So... any boy out there, like beach volleyball?

Cheers,
J

p.s. it does seem like i am a party girl from this post, but really - that's what i would be doing in my precious, tiny, time off from studying!!

Low carb peanut butter...maybe 'Top Carrot' in simpson bay. That's the only place I can think of. It's a 'health nut' store. Never been there though...

As for beach volleyball, we get games going every now and then. I think there are a bunch of people that play every week or so, not sure if they do anymore. But there are people that are definitely willing to play when time's available.

Rollerblading...no way. Paved areas...yes. Lots of rocks, pot holes...etc.

I would love to play beach volleyball when there is time. I'm also a big health nut. I eat very healthy and workout a lot.

Volleyball is pretty big down here at school. We even had a team or two play the other medical schools and even St. Mararten U. The students usually play on Friday afternoons. I don't play.. I'm too short. My head doesn't even reach the bottom of the net.

I HAVE TWO FRIENDS DOWN HERE THAT ARE ON LOW CARB DIETS BESIDES MYSELF. THEY ORDER A LOT OF STUFF ONLINE BECAUSE STUFF FOR THAT DIET IS LIMITED DOWN HERE.

I've stopped in Top Carrot and they don't have a ton of stuff but Fountain of Health has 2 locations and had quite a bit to choose from. They have a small store in Simpson Bay a couple shops down from The Mailbox. Their main store is in Philipsburg on a little street behind the Police Station. As far as volleyball goes, we used to play on Wed and Fri around 3 or 4 PM but we've kind of slacked this last semester. It sounds like the interest is there for next semester so we'll have to start it up again.

Anyhow, so today, I went to the Shell gas station near campus -and lo and behold - found Sugar - Free Red Bull. Imagine my joy!

Now here's the kicker - someone in Note Services told me that there is a grocery store (around) that sells Sugar-Free Red Bull (hopefully in some sort of bulk as I do drink a lot of the regular kind).

Does anyone know of any such grocery store?

Anyhow, to finish the story off, i bought one can of the Sugar-Free RB, and it doesn't taste half bad. I figured I should go easy on her sugary cousin, before I end up with so much fashia on my butt that I can't find into my scrubs anymore. (Sugar = so tasty, yet so evil)

Alrighty - I am out,

Ever been to Cash & Carry? It's near the Harley shop, not in P-burg. I get my 24 pack of Red Bull from there. Have not checked to see if they carried sugar free, but worth a shot.

Now about beach volleyball, I have never seen any 5'11" girls playing with us and we are always there monday and friday afternoons from 2-6pm. BUT - we have acquired a local french gal who is always there with us and is quite good!

Hmm... just like undergrad, when Manhal tried to make the "Girls of science" Calander..that didn't work out so well.

On the up and up, i found sugar-free Red Bull today at Food Express - I was impressed :D

May the late night studies continue!!!!!
