Attn: Canadians and anyone else in the know

So, here's an intersting quandry...

I only have a G1 license (Ontario ppl know all about this); do you think that the St. Maarten traffic officials would know its only a partial license by Canadian standards, or could I get away with using that license to get my St. Maarten license?


Also, is there a place on the island where driving tests are administered, so that I can get a pure, St. Maarten driver's license?

Not sure about the G1 on SXM, but are you presently eliglble to take the test for a G2? A few people I know got in within a couple of days (instead of several weeks) by going to the MTO office of another community nearby, which had a smaller population.

In Marshall Motors a lady called Jay knows all about it and all the shortcuts to obtain a licese. Contact her and tell her you are a Med Student and may rent a car from her then she will help you.
