12 week rule for getting license in new york

I have been told in another forum that a student who wants to do electives outside of the affiliated hospitals of thier medical schools will not be licensed in NY if they do more than 12 weeks of rotations outside of the affiliated hospitals. Anyone have a problem with this before??

call or email the licensing board for new york and ask them in person......u dont want to base your life on the information provide by others......
