papers required for pet cat?

Hi,

What papers are required to bring a cat with me to SXM ? Is it just proof of vaccinations? Also, will my cat be a "carry-on" in its cage, or will it be checked in?

Also, if I were to get another pet cat from the vet in SXM, what papers/etc do I need to get it into the USA?

Yes. My cats had their papers/documents taped on the side of their carriers.

Depends on what you arrange with the airlines. Most carriers have specific restrictions for travelling with pets from May 15 through September 15. Call your airline to find out the specific.

You'll have to check for yourself on this topic...I presume quarantine laws vary from state to state.
