I am currently in my third week of Peds here at Brookdale University Hosptial and this is my last core rotation :D . The rotation here is very good and you will be exposed to many conditions that you will not see in a rural setting. The Peds ER is very busy and a tremendous experience because you will draw blood, start IV's, perform wound care, splint, cast, tape, asthma care, the whole works. The usual day is 8-5, and you do 5 calls over the 6 weeks which is not too bad. You have one paper and one presentation to do. This is my last core and to date things could not have gone smoother. (Thank god for Gardner office). I do CSA on 6/23 and Step 2 first week of August. Now I am starting to register for SanFrancisco Match for Neuro and getting letters of recco. together. It is a very busy time now. Things are moving along quite quickly. Congrats to all the students in 2003 match, very impressive!!! For me its 50 weeks down and 22 more weeks to go. Best of luck to all.
