It has come to my attention that an unofficial website has been operating as a resource for prospective students of American University of the Caribbean. Visitors to the site linked below must pay a one time fee of $15 in order to access information from this site.

Please be aware that this website is not official and does not have permission to use the AUC logo or brand, nor is it sanctioned by either AUC or MEIO. Please do not refer any prospective student to this website in the future.

do we know who is responsible for this website or if it even has correct information? does the school plan on doing something about it?

It says it is run by students and spouces, but this is the first I've heard about it. It seems new, as the free classified section is empty. How did you find out about this. Are there ads somewhere?

That being said.... I'm NOT 100% sure this site isn't a good idea, as MEIO seems to frequently be unwilling or unable to answer questions from potential students. This would have been an awesome thing for the spouce's club to do as a fundraiser.

A shame one of us or our wives didn't think of it first... Now on to the "AUC Girls Gone Wild" website!...

Actually, this was a SGA issue earlier this semester. Inquire Aaron about it. I'm pretty sure they originally wanted the school to pay for the site but of course the school didn't want to(no reason the school wanted to). 15 bucks a pop.. hummm I've seen the site before, it's got pictures of some of the stores and blah blah blah. Nothing too exciting.

I think I can make a site much better than that... I'll just create a really cool entrance page, and then link all those topics to one of the 10,000+ posts about AUC.

Then I can pay for my own beer !!!! WOOHHOOOOOOO !!

The site in question has had signs advertising for it on the bulliten board at school since at least last semester, as there used to be classified ads on there that I remember looking at last semester. My hubby heard it was put on by one of the spouses, but I don't remember any of the spouses talking about this particular site so I don't know. I do remember someone talking about it on here in a thread a few months ago.

I just saw the one time fee and went back here.
