To get Caymanian Status you must have lived on the island for 7 years and you have to have made "extraordinary contributions" to the community. IN addition you have to make an investement (property or business) of $250,000. Even if you meet all of these things and file an application it is not a sure thing that you will even get it. There is also a fee to apply of around $5,000.

US citizens are technically forbidden from going to Cuba. If you choose to take a trip there from here there is no problem because the Cubian officials do not stamp your passport so you avoid any trouble from the US government. The trips are very inexpensive here, running about $300-500 including airfare, and hotel for 3 days.

$10,000-15,000 fine if the US finds out you went to Cuba...better make sure they dont stamp your passport!!!

they sell a nuch of cuban cigars on Cayman, and the sellers will rewrap in Cayman papers and boxes if you want to take to the US...which i have never done, but i know that tourists do all the time
