I've done some research on how Step one is set up but just can't seem to find this info. What is the highest possible score a person can get on step 1?

Here it is. I n 3 digit scores...

minimum - 140
passing - 182 (9-11%ile)
average (mean) - 215
83%ile (+1 sd) - 235
97.5%ile (+2sd) - 255
99.25%ile (+3sd) - 275

maximum = 300 (theoretical)

i just realized that this would be an excellent question for the test dealing with the standard deviation curve :D

last time i checked mean was 215 sd was 20, but whatever... and 93 is good because that's above the mean and probably corresponds to around 230? which is high enough for most residencies other than the ones who dont take carib grads anyway...
