Candies are not very good for kids because you get strep veridan causing gingivitis. Did I get this right? Can I have one candy?

You will get candy if you will explain to me what is strept viridans?? Has a cell membrane and cell wall or not ,What about its gram staining.>

It seems somewhere we learned that primary infections were more likely lower lobe but reactivations were upper. Is that correct?

Yes that is also correct .But not particularly lower labe rather any where giving rise to Ghon;s focus.Sometimes spread through out the lung and bod y giving rise to miliary t uberculosis. However , because Mycobacterium tuberculosis is strict aerobe ,so it has has natural predilection of upper lobes having high ventilation perfusion ratio. It does not mean that it cannot infect other lung areas.It is a matter of preferrence.I remember that I read it somewhere that it is why pt suffering from mitral stenosis have low incidence of Mycobacterial infection. Because of high back venous pressure the apices are perfused thus there ventilation perfusion ratio is decreased.
