Hey all, this is Shadi again, ill be starting in September. I visited Saba around a month ago and there is nothing to worry about. Dont be nervous about the trip, and when people say it is a friendly island, just wait and see...not only the medically affiliated personal are polite and generous but the islanders are just as nice. The one thing that scared the living daylights out of me was when a chicken jumped in the bushes near me, i think i really did have a heart-attack. Anyway, there are 5,000 goats on the island...and 1200? people, come on you gotta find that funny. The goats are kinda cute though, they posed for me when i had my camera. I went around and looked at most of the island. Some places were shocking at first, but by the 2nd day I really did feel comfortable walking around and observing the nature. In Ohio all i get to see are the stupid geese in front of my place....
ALright, this is getting lengthy but i will keep writing despite what you people may think, lol. So i tool the ferry to Saba and the plane from Saba. I noticed that a lot of you are taking the ferry, get there early, and be prepared for the ride of your life...the ladies behind me were soaked with water because they had the winows wide open, I guess they were site seeing the ocean? hahahahahah it was funny...anyway the plane ride was only 12 min, so i suggest you get the plane, i think it is around the same price or 10 bucks more, well worth the 10 dollars. Everywhere on the island takes dollars and most places take MasterCard.

Anyway, if you guys want to ask me questions about the gym, library, stuff that the guide they sent us didnt answer, just shoot!
:P
alright this is long enough, write back soon!

Hey, I have received a lot of emails regarding the library. Nothing wrong with it, it looks like any other library, just smaller. When i saw it there were a couple people in the computer lab (sattelite internet) and half of the desks were full of people studying for exams.
I heard a rumor about the island getting DSL? anyone hear anything about that?
Alright, gotta go pack my "hassel free" box
cant wait to start studying Night and Day!
