I believe that interviews are conducted with applicants the school is considering to accept.
So, if you get an interview, you have high chances of getting accepted.

Not after you send in your app, but after EVERYTHING (trascripts, personal statement, resume, recommendation letters, etc) is in, then you will be contacted probably in about a week or two to set up for an interview time. Then in about a few days, you will have a phone interview that lasts about 10 minutes or so.
You have to call them and email them constantly and ask them if they did receive your stuff or not. Try not to wait for them to contact you, even though the SMU administrators are the best among the other carib med school administrators...

I wouldn't stress out about the phone interview. In fact, if you get an interview, I'd assume you're already in. My questions were like what would you do to lower the cost of healthcare? Why do you want to be a doctor? Don't worry....if you get the interview you're in, cuz I know I didn't give good answers. hope this helps.
