Anyone going to UNIBE in Jan 05 (med)? Let's start a new thread please.

I was shooting for Sep 04, but I need to save more money, so I decided to apply for Jan 05 instead. I am also considering other options as well.

Hi JEVR,

I am in the process of applying for the Jan-MD class. The person who will best answer your questions is Ivett. Her emails are listed below. PM me if you are not able to get in touch w/her, and I can forward you some of the useful info she sent me. Also, go through some of the old posts here, especially those by Ozzie/Dr. dksamp, and luisra.

As far as Stafford, you will get a refund after the takes its share of tuition. This will take some time, so you will need to budget for the first couple of months until you get your refund.

Good luck (to both of us :D )!

Hey,

I'm planning to apply to UNIBE for January, and I'm not quite sure what I'm doing. I'm finishing up my app. now, so I may wait until next September even if I get accepted depending on when I find out. It's a weird time to start school, because of all the winter holidays, and the end of fall semester courses. I'm thinking if I wait until September it may be an easier move all around. But, it also means I'll be spending the cold winter in RI. I'm much fonder of the Carribean. I went down to visit UNIBE a few weeks ago, if you haven't been and there are any questions I can help you with, just PM. My email is adrianschlesinger@yahoo.com. (I don't know if I can get a valuemed PM) Good luck!

Hey Adrian,

Just do it if you can, and do not wait. Take it from me....I had the option to go to med school years ago, but I was just like you, now 2 of my friends who did it at the same time are in residency, another one is now a practicing GP in the DC area (he was not even thinking about med school, until I told him about it)! Go for it, and do not think twice about it!

Please share your overall experience about your recent visit to UNIVBE, any thing you can think of.
