I was just curious as to where the 110v and 220v outlets were in the superdorms. I couldn't remember if there were 110v outlets in the kitchenette or bathroom (I visted the campus earlier this summer). Should transformers be brought or bought? Any info would be most appreciated. I thank ya.
There are both 110V and 220V outlets in the superdorms. But I don't remember if there are outlets in the bathroom or kitchen.

No outlet in the bathroom, no outlet in the kitchen. You only get one outlet, the one under your desk & your roommate has theirs.

so do you have to buy a special adapter for your laptop to charge there?
Nope. It's a 110V outlet and you use it like the one @ home in the states. Since you often need to plug in more than one thing at a time, do bring along a power strip.

Can anyone xplain the type of prong used in the dorms for the 110V 60Hz plug?
Is it a polarized 2 prong plug.
or is there also a ground pin?

They are grounded... the top example in your illustration. And its not 60Hz... it's 110V/50Hz.

So is there one 110V plug and one 220V plug for each person under the desk....or are they all 110V? Just wondering, since there's no need to worry about 220V alarm clocks etc.
Thanks,
~~cc
