Entering August 04 class, come in...

I saw the other thread for the august 04 class, and I thought it would be a great idea to start a thread where we can put our IM screenames so we can communicate with each other. I bet you guys have as many questions as I do, and its a pain to call the University ALL THE TIME and ask so many questions. If we knew each others IM's, we can talk to each other and learn from one another. Besides, I would love to talk to any of my future classmates. So, my name is Joe and my im name is ILUVTPMORE. Feel free to im me; hopefully alot of the august 04 students will post theirs too so we can talk to each other more conveniently than posting it on this forum and waiting for a reply (although this forum is great!)

No way. No one uses those nets. Also, u guys should put ur AIM info in your ValueMD profile so people can just see the name at the bottom of your message. (it's a button)

Hi everyone, Kevin here and yes, I can't wait to come down. I just turned in my two weeks last tuesday, so I've basically been staring at a computer screen for the past week trying to look busy and not act excited. AOL screen name would be Ingalls26 and I'm usually online. I'll cut this short but best of luck everyone and I look forward to seeing you all in ~1.5 weeks.

NEVER used one for the 1.5 yrs in Grenada and the 4 months in St. Vincent.
If you go out at night, use some bug repellant like OFF! but you won't need a mosquito net in my opinion unless you sleep under a tent on the black sand beach.
Not many mosquito-borne diseases down there anyway (or at least never heard of anyone getting malaria, yellow fever)...the biggest thing you'd prolly have to worry about is Dengue which is more common in Trinidad than Grenada).

Ive started keeping a pen and paper in my pocket when I go out. I'll be at a restaurant, eating dinner and I'll be like....EARPLUGS! and then everyone in the restaurant stops what they are doing and looks at me. It's quite uncomfortable. Anyway, packing does suck, but I dont mind it, because we are almost ready for schoooooooooool!!! Flying out EWR on the 12th.

I'm with you, my friend. AIM is absolutely perfect for folks who hate AOL (like me) for a whole host of reasons. It's a tiny little program with cool features that u can enjoy without ever having to use AOL, or its service.

Most of the library & the computer lab computers have MS Windows messenger installed on them.
