how do we get a hold of grads or other students whom are down there and want to sell their used items to new students

Also: does anyone recommend sending stuff NOW to a Grenada address before we get down there (and to what address can we send the stuff and will the stuff be ok) or should I just try to survive on the 70lbs max on American Airlines luggage and buy the rest down there?

The bookstore has had a buy back sale at the beinning of the term, but that was when the SOs ran the bookstore, now I'm not sure if that will be the case (hopefully some one will arrange something!!). Check out the SGU Post, there is a For Sale section (if you have access to your SGU email, the Post link is below the email link) and students list things there.
As for sending things down before you can send things down through AmeriJet(I haven't used them, but many have so I think it has to reasonable in cost-like a dollar a lb. )and you can address it to

your name, 1st term ,
SGUSOM, True Blue Campus,
St. George's GRENADA B.W.I.

If you know your mailbox # you can add that as well.

As for the 70lb total, from what I hear AA will let you BRING in 2X70lbs, though there is no guarantee that BOTH bags will come with you, but when you LEAVE the island you can only take 2 bags that TOTAL 70lbs.
Next time take Air Jamaica or UsAir- they let you take 2X70lb bags and will let you buy excess baggage ($55 and $80 extra respectively), unlike AA which has put an embargo on extra bags for the month of August.
