I'm not sure if malaria is a problem in Grenada but I'm going to get the medication for it anyways. I'd rather be safe than sorry. Does anyone know what strains are resistent there or what specific kind of anti-malarial mediation is best for that area? My doctor told me to find this information out so she knows what prescription to give me.

thanks

thanksthere is no malaria in Grenada. You shouldn't be taking any medication. The school will aprise you of any particular health issues you need to be aware of. Dengue is the only bug bourne issue and you can't prevent it; few actually get it but everyone with the sniffles calls themselves a dengue survivor.

probably one of them did. Most of them probably came down with a cold.
Acutally to be fair, about youre time there there was an outbreak and apaprently a good portion of the micro faculty got it. It supposedly feels terrible but (if you only get one strain) its not serious. Just unpleasant. There are areas of Grenada where 97% of the population are Ab + for dengue but few have reported symptoms of it. Fun with micro.
