I'be been accepted to both Saba and St. Matthews. Looking at the cost, I keep hearing Saba is cheaper, not only cost of living but tuition as well. Also, Saba's USMLE scores are posted on this forum at times but i just can't find one for St. Matthews. Even with these things in mind, it sounds like St. Matthews would be an ideal place to study because it's more like the states as far as the living conditions go. So I keep going back and forth. Please help! I need to know if there are any concerns about St. Matthews USMLE pass rates or other concerns about the school's stability and teaching. thanx...

I'm not sure about the USMLE scores for St. Matt.'s, but I think you'll get nothing but pure support for going to Saba in this forum. It may be a bit inconvenient from what I'm told, when it comes to the environment of luxury we see here in the states, but it's something I can deal with if I'm prepared well for the boards. When it comes right down to it, for Caribbean schools, board scores matter more than most other scores/grades/achievments etc. If you don't think that you could make it at a more remote place where you can study and dive, or dive and study, then maybe St. Matt's is better for you.- Not sure how much help I've been; I'm a bit biased towards Saba though.

I am also biased toward Saba, of course.

I'll PM you a breakdown of St. Matts vs. Saba that I came up with when I was applying to schools. I think both are good, but there are good points and bad points to each, and you will want to pick the one that suits you best.
