Hey, I apologize if this has been asked before, but I'm wondering if it is unheard of for someone to apply as late as October (when my August MCAT scores will be in) and get accepted to the January class? Does applying early without scores increase your chances of acceptance, or should I just send in the application when my MCAT scores arrive? Thanks in advance.

Hi, i sent in my application in november 2003 for the January 2004 class. Because i did not have my final transcript at the time, i was interviewed for the August 2004 term. during my interview, i was told that interviewing this early( february) was a good thing, and that i was one of the first few that were going to be accepted- they have rolling addmission. So, if i were to apply again or if a friend of my was applying in late October, i would tell them to apply for the August Term. i think you have better chances, even if your stats are mediocre , but then again i read on this forum that January is less competitive.
During orientation in NY a few days ago, we were told by the staff that 1 in 5 are accepted, so apply early.
i hope this helps,
canman :D
