As far as skin is concerned
1:- Dermis = Mesodermal origin
2:- Epidermis and its derivatives = ectodermal origin
With epidermal derivatives
Hair
Nail
Glands
Mammary
Sweat gland
Sebaceous glands
Dermal structures in which erector pili is included are derived from mesoderm.
With limited dresources I could not find its exact origin .Because it is not mentioned in the ectodermal orighin group , so it logically inferred that it is of mesodermal origin because
All muscles are of mesodermal origin except which I mentioned above about which I quoted the ref.Remember that was the only ref which I could find about it . No other source supported.
Erector pili is found in the dermis and its source is not mentioned anywhere as that of ectodermal origin , so I find no other way except to assume that is or mesodermal origin.
If yu or some other friend has some def source then please let us know .
