APC = Academic Progress Committee - reviews your grades and decides whether you should be promoted to next term. Don't really need to stay for it unless you are having academic difficulty - then you need to go before them to plead your case.

Book it for the day after your last exam. I made the mistake of staying after my first term for the APC and I entered in august. There was not a single person except me and my 2 friends for 4-5 days and everything on campus was closed.

Hi!
Seeing that many of us went through the routine of booking flights before and chosing dates, I would definitely take some of the advise of your peers.
Leave a.s.a.p. so that you can maximize your time home and besides, if things are not going well in Grenada and you have to stay for the Committee meeting, you will know ahead of time and you can change your delay your flight for a few days. However, seeing that it rarely happens, I would try to leave as soon as you finish your last exam. Trust me, you will get the hang of things very quickly.
Life down in the Caribbean is beautiful but going home is priceless.
Take care and good luck with everything,
Dr. N.B.

I'm from the GTA (Toronto),
I flew American first term from Buffalo (alot cheaper).
DON"T DO IT!!!!! (pm me if you want details)
for august I'm flying back BWIA to Trinidad, then Liat to Grenada.
I also know a common flight torontonians seemed to fly was:
Air Canada to Barbados, then regional flyer (Liat/C.Star etc) to Grenada.
Do alot of calling around (try checking ggtravel and/or titantours for local agents). You'll get a better rate than American also!!

I'm Aug 10th. 11:59pm. (yea, i know i'm going down early, but i want to make sure I got stuff sorted out early)

hey, I'm flying out Aug 7th 11:59pm (I'm 2nd term) - don't worry, there's lotsa stuff to do if you show up early - lotsa sights to see, and a few parties to go to, before battening down the hatches for the storm to follow.
pm me if you want to grab a drink when you get here.
Cheers y'all

They have pretty good deals through Regina at MSW actually. I was able to get a rate much cheaper than through all other avenues I tried.

Hey,
You should be able to check this on the website, er - oops, just remembered that you may not have access to members site yet - it's on there. Which term were you looking for again? I'll look it up and post it.

here's a url you can access:
http://www.sgu.edu/nhome.nsf/webcontent/C07D998714D0650885256BE4007082BA?open&top=med
if for some reason a copy/paste of that into your address window doesn't work: just go to the sgu home page, then click on "medicine", then click on "academic calendar"
the last exam for your term is stated as may 13th.
(on a side note: I had thought that jan '05 would be listed in the class schedule on the members page, but it's not)
IMHO I would humbly suggest that you call bayshore to verify the may 13th date.
Cheers,
Silenthunder
