I wanted to ask any upper termers about their experience with various car rental places in Grenada. Any good deals? Anyone you would recommend?
I rented last term from L & A Car Rental, which operates out of the Grand View Inn, and I was not very happy with them. They charged US$400/month, and both jeeps I got from them were long overdue for the junkyard! (The first one actually started falling apart on me, so I exchanged it after 3 weeks. The second wasn't much better. :x )
I would like to be able to arrange for a car now so it'll be ready to go when I get back to Grenada Aug. 7. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Doh! I just reserved a Toyota Corolla with them... Did you happen to see what that looked like?

Try calling Garfield from HESTEL car rentals at the Flamboyant hotel.. They do short term rentals, but he may be able to hook you up with a car. He is a nice guy.

Seriously guys, if you have more info: give us the scoop, I too will be looking for some wheels (that hopefully stay attached to a vehicle) next term. :D

Well, it did actually have working breaks, 2 headlights, and tread on the tires, so I guess it was a bit better than "Rude Cat" after all!
Emt, both of mine were Suzuki "jeeps"; I never saw any of their cars. My neighbor, though, managed to end up with a very nice Honda "jeep" from them, so I guess it's the luck of the draw as to what you get through L & A. I'm just not much of a gambler, especially after two bum hands...

.......aaaahhh.... rudecat... I remember nearly greeting the reaper when Snitzle was trying to get down Dr. Brahim's driveway!!! (for newbies: some driveways in Grenada are VERY steep!!!)
I'll see you when we get back Snitzle,
