All I have left to due is continue to cram and take the MCAT in less than a month as AUC and Ross are wating for my score.

Are the average scores you get on the practice tests (i.e. Kaplan) generally higher or lower than your official score or are they pretty much the same?

Your a canadian citizen I take it. If I'm wrong, please correct me. But doesn't canada have a strict rule on foriegn medical school graduates regardless of the school you attend?

I'm not sure if your providence has the same rule or not but isn't it like 60 spots a year? This mean's you have to compete with all the foriegn medical school graduates wanting to practice medicine. If I were a canadian citizen, I would not go to a caribbean medical school nor would I go to a foriegn medical school if I wanted to return back to Canada.

I understand that alot of caribbean medical school promote the ideal of being able to do clinicals in canada, but becoming licensed in canada is a whole another ordeal for canadians, this I'm sure you know about. Unless you plan on becoming licensed here in the US and giving up your citizenship in canada, I would think long and hard on this issue.

Please don't think that I'm saying caribbean medical school graduates can't become licensed in canada because I'm sure they do. However, after reading an article which a caribbean medical school graduate has had a hard time getting licensed in canada due to their 60 a year limit, it put doubt in my mind why anyone from that country would want to go outside of their own country to become a physician.

Anywho, I wish you all the best of luck.

Not sure what that person's point was exactly, but as for Kaplan practice tests vs actual performance: I took (as I recall), three Kaplan exams and two from the AAMC website. I ended up doing about two point better than Kaplan and about the same as I did on the AAMC tests. I believe that as long as your scores are going in the right direction, you should be fine. If AUC and Ross are waiting for your scores, give them a 24 or better and you should be a shoo-in.

Of course, that's just my two cents.

Best of Luck!
